Born from the ingenuity of Swedish inventor Magnus Olsson, Lagun’s roots trace back to the 1980s, nurtured by a rich heritage of metalworking in the heart of Sweden’s Bergslagen region. Here, in the cradle of Swedish iron and steel, Magnus envisioned a solution to optimize space in confined environments like RVs, boats, and tiny homes.
From frustration to solution
Magnus was well aware of the frustration caused by limited spaces in boats and motorhomes. Traditional tables were often bulky and lacked the flexibility required for various activities. Inspired by similar swiveling concepts pioneered in the 1920s, Magnus embarked on a mission to elevate these concepts to new heights.
Innovative design and functionality
Drawing upon his knowledge of aluminium extrusion and ingenious technical solutions like the dovetail track and machine handles, he transformed Lagun into a staple piece of functionality and Scandinavian design.
